Elgin High School Students and Families,
Elgin High School is moving to the second semester with a number of items that will take place. Students have completed the first half of the school year and are preparing for End of Course testing, ACT, as well as College and Career choices for our Seniors.
The curriculum for the 2023-24 school year is being developed. Scholarships for our seniors will need to be completed and submitted by the deadlines. Underclassmen will begin making scheduling choices for their futures.
Our Juniors are planning for their final year of high school and our Seniors are in the process of finalizing plans for graduation! It is exciting to watch as the students grow and mature in their preparation for the next steps of their lives and prepare for their futures!
Freshman will continue to learn the new permanent graduation requirements that focus on competency and readiness. These changes will guide and develop a new way of learning and give them opportunities that Elgin students have never been exposed to before. More information will come and there is a document below to review, which explains the new graduation requirements.
All students will continue to focus on their personal “What’s Your E?” We want to do all we can to assist your students in deciding the best path for their future after graduation! Take time to discuss with your student their plans following graduation.
The following are a number of important sites to assist both students and families for graduation requirements, testing and other educational information.
